Sonu Sood calls offline board exams unfair to students, suggests internal assessment
Sonu Sood supported ‘cancel CBSE board exams’ petition in a video on Twitter. The actor said that an internal assessment method should be used because of the spike in Covid-19 cases.Sonu Sood has come out in support of students who are going to appear in the board exams this year. In a video on Twitter, he raised the concern that giving offline exams amid the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic is unfair to students.

Sood shared a video supporting the ‘cancel CBSE board exams 2021’ movement. He is heard saying, “On the behalf of students, I want to put in a request. CBSE and board exams are going to be held offline, I do not think the students are ready to sit for the exams amid the prevailing circumstances.” He gave examples of countries like Saudi Arabia and Mexico where exams were cancelled despite low number of Covid-19 cases.

Sonu Sood has launched Sanjeevani A Shot of Life, an initiative that aims to spread awareness about the Covid-19 vaccine. He also received the first dose of the vaccine on April 7 as part of the same. Sharing the update on Twitter, he wrote, “Got my vaccine today and now it’s time to get whole of my country vaccinated. Started the biggest vaccination drive “Sanjeevani” which will bring awareness and get our people vaccinatedMany Bollywood celebrities have taken the shot.
