“It’s really sad that the leaders who are propagating that people have to wear masks on public platforms are actually flouting the rules when it comes to them. If you look at the Karnataka chief minister’s Twitter handle, he has tweeted so much about Covid-19, however, contrary to what he has been saying in his tweets, Yediyurappa has been spotted flouting the norms on several occasions,”Two days back, the chief minister had gone two unveil the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar on his birth anniversary where a large crowd had gathered and he wasn’t even wearing a mask. In today’s incident, Yediyurappa comes out of a lift in a hospital with his staff where he was seen without the PPE kit, he addedUpon having mild fever, today I got tested for Covid-19 and my report has come out positive. Although I am doing fine, I am being hospitalised based on the advice of doctors,” Yediyurappa said in a tweet earlier today. “I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine,” he added.
He has been shifted to Manipal hospital from Ramaiah Memorial hospital where he was admitted earlier in the day, informed the Karnataka CMO.Yediyurappa was first diagnosed with Covid-19 in August last year, along with several of his family members. In March this year, the chief minister had taken the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and was due to take his second dose.
